Micro Projects for Ballston & Virginia Square

We invite you to submit your project proposal/application that will be considered for funding through Arlington’s Neighborhood Conservation (NC) Program’s new initiative: Micro Projects. The Arlington County has set aside a total of $100,000 over a two-year period to fund small scale neighborhood improvement projects. The maximum cost for proposed projects is $10,000 for each neighborhood, including Ballston-Virginia Square Civic Association. Applications will be reviewed and evaluated by the NC staff through a competitive process. If you have project suggestions that exceed the $10,000 limit, please send them along as we are looking for additional NC projects, as well.

BVSCA leadership needs to have your application by Monday, February 21, COB. We will review and approve your project application before it is sent to Micro Projects Program Lead. Micro Projects Program will accept your proposal before the March 1, 2011 deadline. If your project cannot make it this time, it may be considered in the next round in September 2011.

Please find the following links which contain the necessary application materials, in addition to an informational sheet and staff presentation on Micro Projects:

Should you have any questions or comments before February 21, 2011 deadline, do not hesitate to contact the NCAC representative, Ali Gungor, at 202-352-1968 and ali@kgmc.us.
