Welcome!
Our Ballston-Virginia Square community is a walkable urban village offering something for everyone in the heart of Arlington County, Virginia. Ballston-Virginia Square Civic Association serves the Ballston-Virginia Square neighborhood that is generally bound by Glebe Road on the west, Kirkwood Road on the east, Route I-66 on the north, and Wilson Boulevard on the south. Our neighborhood features a diverse mix of vibrant residential and commercial activity and offers apartment and condominium high- and mid-rise residences, townhouses, and single-family homes. We are also home to two Metro stops/stations, the Arlington Campus of George Mason University, Washington-Liberty High School, Arlington Science Focus School (elementary), FDIC, YMCA, American Legion, Arlington Central Library, and Quincy Park (the County’s ‘central park’)…just to name a few.
The Ballston-Virginia Square Civic Association seeks to keep our residents informed about and involved in important issues affecting our neighborhood. We encourage member participation, ideas and opinions and work to communicate on your behalf at meetings of County and Arlington Public School staff, commissioners, and Board members. Our membership meetings offer the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of applicants proposing new or redevelopment in and around our boundaries as well as discussions on issues of concern affecting all of us (budget, taxes, managing County/school growth, pedestrian safety, traffic/parking, etc). We welcome your participation. If you interested in joining the association, please go to our membership section for more information.
